WBW Router Plane Kit (back Order)
The router plane kits are on back order, and the next batch should be shipping late December. If you want to be in that batch order now, we will soon be working on the batch for early February.
The Wood By Wright Router Plane Kit is designed to be fully functional at a fraction of the cost. This is the router plane kit I have been trying to put together for a few years. It is the most affordable router plane kit on the market. My goal was to make a fully functional router plane on a budget, allowing it to work just like a Stanley.
I chose to use the angled iron as it gives far better visibility and is far easier to work with.
The U-bolt provides two nuts to loosen, even though the original Stanley had only one. The nice thing about the U-bolt is that you only need to loosen one to loosen the iron.
You can shape the bet to be anything you want. You can make it longer to work on tenons or make it smaller to get into odd spaces. I have even seen some put the cutter in different locations.
Kit includes:
A set of plans with measured drawings and lessons learned, making many of these over the years.
