Marking and Measuring
These are all tools that I use or suggest. I have eather used them enough to approve of them for the price, or I trust enough valued sources that use them. I do not always suggest the “best on the market”, but I try to look for the best bang for the buck. some pages will list the “best” in my book and have a second version with the best for the price. If you are looking for recommendations for “the best tool” feel free to send me a message and I can suggest others that might be better for you personally. There is no best tool for everyone. Try Square
so simple but so useful!
Miter Square
For when you want the joint to only be halfway square!
Mortising Cutting Gauge
This will cut both sides of a mortise at once.
Bevel Gauge
You can never have enough of these. I often have three in use on the bench in some projects.
Wheel Marking Gauge
For going across the grain this cuts like none other.
Marking Knife Kit
this is the closet kit I have found to my personal marking knife.
